Departments

Administration

Administration is responsible for implementing the City Council’s policies, administering the day-to-day operations of the City, and promoting and supporting economic development. The department includes the City Manager and the City Clerk

City Council

The Council is the legislative policy-making body that regulates local laws, sets public policy, and approves the City’s budget.

Community Development & Services

Community Development & Services is responsible for the Planning, Building, Code Enforcement, Public Works (e.g., engineering, parks, fleet, facilities, sewage) and Recreation Divisions.

Finance

Finance is responsible for all City finance related activities including the budget, audit, accounts payable/receivable and payroll, as well as Risk Management and Human Resources.

Fire

Fire is responsible for fire prevention, rescue, emergency medical services, hazardous materials response, fire inspection, weed abatement, public education, and department operations and administration.

Library

The Library is responsible for providing books, magazines, videos, audiobooks, e-books, youth programs, literacy programs, computer access, wifi, interlibrary loan, and reference services for Willows and Glenn County residents.
