City of Willows, CANOTICE INVITING BIDS FOR THE LEASE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF WILLOWS WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT SITE FOR AGRICULTURAL PURPOSES
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received at the Office of the City Clerk, 201 N. Lassen St., Willows, CA 95988, until Monday, November 13, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. (Postmarks will not be accepted), at which time they will be opened and read in the City Council Chambers for the leasing of approximately 56.6 acres of real property located in the Southwest Quarter of Section 15, Township 19 North, Range 3 West, M.D. B. & M., County of Glenn, State of California, associated with Assessor Parcel Numbers 17-170-050 and 17-170-005
Each bid shall be made in accordance with the stipulations of the proposed lease agreement, and no bid will be received unless it is made on a proposal form furnished by the City of Willows. The sealed envelope enclosing the proposal shall have stated thereon: “Proposal for the lease of Real Property at the City of Willows Wastewater Treatment Plant Site for Agricultural Purposes.” The lease agreement and bid form may be obtained at the office of the City Clerk, 201 N. Lassen St., Willows, CA 95988, by calling (530) 934-7041 or on the City website www.cityofwillows.net under “Information and News”.
The City of Willows reserves the right to postpone the date and time for the opening of bids at any time prior to the date and time announced in the advertisement in accordance with applicable law. The City of Willows reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any defects or irregularity in bidding in accordance with applicable law. All bids will remain valid for 90 days after the bid opening. Except as permitted by law and subject to all applicable remedies, bidders may not withdraw their bid during the 90-day period after the bid opening.
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Willows will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 6:00 p.m., or shortly thereafter, in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 201 North Lassen Street, Willows, to publicly award the bid for the above-mentioned property lease to the highest responsive and responsible bidder whose proposal complies with all of the requirements of the lease agreement. The City of Willows reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. The public is invited to attend and be heard on this item. The City of Willows is an Equal Opportunity Provider.
