Active Library Grants

Below are the active grants Willows Public Library receives funding. The ability of the library to remain open and thriving is in direct proportion to the value these grants provide to the City of Willows and the wider community of Glenn County.

California Parks Pass – Borrow a pass from the library and visit any of the over 200 parks throughout the state.

Carnegie Foundation awarded each existing Carnegie library with funds to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Corporation.

California Library Literacy Services is a project of the California State Library, supported with funds from the State of California. This grant supports literacy education for adults throughout Glenn County.

Library Connect which empowers California Libraries with high-speed broadband internet access.

EmPOWERing Access is a partnership with the Southern California Library Cooperative which new ways to access information at libraries and learn new skills.

First 5 of Glenn County working to improve the lives of children ages 0-5 through services and supports.

Glenn County Quality Counts provides early learning experiences to build the foundation for skills children need in school, work, and life.

Lunch at the Library in collaboration with local schools will provide specialized programming alongside the meal distribution ensuring students and young people in the community continue to have access to educational resources and healthy food options throughout the summer months.

Rural Health Connections provided funding for materials and technology to support adult health related programming.

Willows Community Thrift Shop provided funding to support children’s activities and supplies.

Zip Books provides library users with speedy access to books and audiobooks that are not available in their local libraries. Items are sent directly to patrons and upon return, added to the collection.
