Mission

To promote safe, sustainable, and orderly growth within the City of Willows through thoughtful planning, responsible infrastructure management, effective code enforcement, and community-centered services, while enhancing the quality of life for residents, businesses, and visitors and preserving the character and long-term vitality of the community.

Services

The Community Development Services Department oversees Building Code Enforcement, Engineering, Public Works, Planning, and Recreation. The Department is responsible for:

• • • • Building permit review, issuance, and inspections
      • Code enforcement and compliance
      • Engineering review of development projects and public improvements
      • Environmental review and development application processing
      • Long-range planning and infrastructure management
      • Capital improvement project coordination
      • Street, park, sewer, and storm drain system maintenance
      • Land use planning and zoning administration
      • Sports & Youth programs, and park rentals
      • Department budgeting, grant coordination, and interagency collaboration

Staff

Key staff includes the Community Development Services Director, Community Development Technician, and an Administrative Analyst.
